We’ve set up this account so that donations can be made to the Reviving Gaza mutual aid organisation in memory of Brian Wilson.

Brian was appalled by the situation in Gaza. He watched Channel 4 news every day without fail, often with tears in his eyes, as he observed the scenes of devastation in Gaza, in particular the plight of children and families. We have no doubt that he will have seen the Channel 4 feature on Reviving Gaza, the mutual aid organisation set up by Manchester-based Palestinian activist, Ghassan Ghaben, and would feel this grass-roots crowdfunding initiative, working with volunteers on the ground in Gaza, was a worthy cause.

Reviving Gaza is a grass roots organisation which focuses on providing for the immediate and basic needs of people in Gaza. The initiative was founded by three Gazan siblings with direct, lived experience of the war on Gaza, including Manchester-based activist, Ghassan Ghaben. Using their skill set, international connections and team of volunteers in Gaza, they passionately advocate for the human rights of Palestinians and focus their efforts on providing for the needs of people throughout the Gaza Strip in the face of the ongoing genocide. Ghassan Ghaben has been providing some advisory support to the team Brian's daughter, Cassie, works for at Manchester City Council, so there is a direct link to ensure funds are transferred and to understand how funds are being used.
