to raise funds for OCD Ireland
Donation protected
I am running this year's mini marathon to raise awareness and much needed funds for OCD Ireland.
OCD is a mental health condition characterised by persistent unwanted thoughts or urges and repetitive behaviours or mental acts. It is constantly misrepresented in media and popular culture as a "quirky" personality trait or a need to be tidy and ordered when in fact it can be a debilitating condition which can disrupt a person's daily life and cause major distress and anxiety.
It is estimated that 2-3% of the population suffer from this much misunderstood disorder. OCD Ireland receive no gov't funding and donations will help fund support groups to help sufferers and their families which are run from St. Patricks's University Hospital.
