Frank began having symptoms in August of 2017 and was diagnosed weeks later with a Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis extending to his internal jugular vein. In simple terms, he has a large blood clot in his brain which stops the outflow of blood from one side of his brain and prevents him from doing the simplest things most people take for granted. He's living with debilitating migraine headaches 24/7 which prohibit him from working or playing with his young son. To further complicate his situation, he suffered a heart attack in January. He's had multiple heart catheterizations and more than 6 MRIs of his neck and brain and ambulance transportation bills for transfer to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He's now unemployed and disabled with over $15,000 in unpaid medical bills. Our only hope is an upcoming consultation with a neurosurgeon at UPMC in Pittsburgh to help return him to some quality of life.
