We are the team FUNBOTS, a passionate group of young minds from Urbana Middle School, Frederick, MD, on a mission to transform our dreams into reality through the power of STEM. This February, we've been given the extraordinary opportunity to compete in the FIRST LEGO League World Championship Festival in Houston from April 17th to 20th. This event is not just a competition; it's our chance to showcase our creativity, problem-solving skills, and the result of months of hard work on an international level.

**Our Story**

Our team was formed in 2021, during Covid, and we’ve grown so much since then. Our journey wasn't easy, though. Through countless hours of brainstorming, building, and programming, we've not only crafted unique solutions to real-world problems but also learned the true value of teamwork, perseverance, inclusion and innovation.

Last month, our team achieved a remarkable victory at the Maryland State competition, earning us a spot at the World Championship. It was a moment of sheer joy and pride for all of us, our coaches, and our supporters. Now, we have an even bigger challenge ahead of us, and we're ready to take it on!

**The Opportunity**

Participating in the FIRST LEGO League World Championship is about more than just competition; it's a learning experience that extends beyond the boundaries of our community. It offers us the chance to:

**Our Goal**

To make this dream a reality, we need to raise $15,000. This will cover our travel expenses, accommodation, registration fees, and materials for our presentation. Here's a quick breakdown:

- Registration Fees: $2,000 (secured funding through AstraZeneca)

- Travel (Flights & Ground Transportation): $5,000

- Accommodation: $4,000

- Materials & Miscellaneous: $4,000
