Hi my name is Steve and this is my daughter Marie's story . she had two English bull terriers called Molly and Merlin, they were brother and sister. Sadly Molly passed away 3 months ago with cancer and she was only six years old, it was heart-breaking. Marie kept her going with medication and vet visits which was so hard money wise but Molly was her baby girl, she was so sweet natured and loving, so when she passed Merlin was in a terrible state, howling, crying, pacing and constantly calling for her, he was broken hearted too. This went on for three months and then he to became ill. Marie couldn't believe this was happening . After two scans, several blood tests, endoscopy tests, biopsies and lots of medication and now £4000 in debt with the vet and still no results, the vet has now said it's to do with his oesophagus which is not allowing food to go down through to his stomach which then makes him regurgitate food and medication, which he has to have through the day and into the evening. She hasn't been in her bed now for 6 months as she firstly slept on the sofa with Molly and now poor Merlin who is in pain, he's lost so much weight and now the vet has advised her to take Merlin to see a specialist who deals with oesophagus issues, but this will cost up to £5000 to get a diagnosis. She can't bear to think about being without him, she hasn't even had time to mourn Molly yet as she's had to give Merlin all of her time.
