Raise $$ for 11 Year Old Calvin's Wheelchair Van

Calvin is now 11 years old. He’s quite the trooper!

Calvin Clark Brezgel was born on April 6, 2012 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Dan (Dad) wanted to name him “Kal-el” after Superman, but Deborah (Mom) was hesitant- so they settled with Calvin “Clark.”

When Calvin came into this world, their lives changed forever. They were blessed with another child, but little did we know what was coming ahead.

Calvin was born with a super rare genetic disorder that has only been seen in about 40 people in the entire world.

A few hours after giving birth, Mom and Dad found out that he is blind, deaf, and cannot eat by his mouth.

“He can barely hear us, he can’t see us, but we love him.”– Mom

Since birth, Calvin has had countless seizures. He uses an oxygen tank and a suction device to help him breathe.

Calvin takes 7+ strong medications daily and he needs regular care from many doctors, nurses, and specialists.

His condition is so delicate that at the drop of a hat, he can transition from being healthy to being very sick.

It’s hard to imagine how a family can stay together through such challenging circumstances, but with the love and support of the many wonderful people thatsurround them, they continue to fight on Calvin’s behalf to give him the best possible life he can have.

The Brezgel’s struggle daily…

Mom works 3 part-time jobs and takes Calvin to all his medical appointments- weekly.

Dad works full-time and goes to college full-time in efforts to get a higher paying job.

The family struggles to keep a roof over their head each and every year, and they do their best to give the loving support their children need.

As you can probably imagine, the Brezgel family struggles financially, mentally, and physically, because of the plethora of needs of their family and their disabled son, Calvin.
