Hi,  I’m Ethan Fitzpatrick, a 17-year-old student in New York City. I feel so lucky we live in a world where I can reach out to so many great people to help raise awareness around child suicide. I’ve watched the statistics, as we all have, around the sharp increase these past 2 years. 


However, my call to action happened in just a few brief minutes. I am moved to start this fundraiser after standing at a taped-off building on my way home from school. A young child had jumped and died. Standing there that day I realized, I could almost feel the deep despair someone so young must have felt to take their life. I want to help, and I want to provide a community in which we can all help. We need to reach these children earlier.  


For this fundraiser, we are looking for 30 participants in a sponsor-based class to represent your team in a phenomenal F45 class. This fun event is on June 9th at 7:30 pm at a studio in Long Island City, taught by professional fitness coaches. Transportation has already been donated for your convenience, and the evening will be an exciting event to help launch this. We suggest each participant, or team leader, commit to having at least 3 sponsors behind them.

Please note ALL proceeds from this event will go to the JJ Foundation, whose mission is to prevent youth suicide, promote mental health awareness, and create a message of hope for pre-teens, teens, and young adults in our community. I appreciate any assistance you can provide as I strive to get this off the ground. I am excited to stand united to help make a change. We are powerful when we come together.
