Give Ukrainian Children a Safe Place to Rest

You can make a real difference for children suffering from war.

Pristanište is a volunteer community and charity foundation based in Budva, Montenegro. We exist thanks to the generosity of people who care about Ukrainians affected by the war launched by Russia.

We have been helping refugees since the beginning of the war and, from March 2023, we’ve been running a program called ‘A Quiet Place to Sleep’. Through this programme, children from active war zones — Sumy, Donetsk, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and others — come to the Pristanište shelter for two weeks of rest. These are kids who have lived under shelling for three and a half years.

Since 2022, nearly 1,000 people from Ukraine have stayed at the Pristanište shelter. During their stay, children spend 12–14 days by the sea, free from the constant fear of bombings and sirens. These few peaceful days are essential for their recovery. And so are breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

To provide food for a group of 14 people staying at the Pristanište shelter for 2 weeks, we need about €1,180.

- €5.25 covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner for one child.

- €2.80 covers a single lunch.
