Hello friends! Brianna here. I have struggled to post this, as dwelling on life's tough stuff is not easy, especially when it's been so constant. But I've decided to be vulnerable and share, hoping to raise money for Rain to have surgery and correct her eyes so she can be pain-free again, and we can once again wander the trails as we heal together! Rain needs expensive surgery to fix her eyes, as her tear ducts have completely stopped working, and she has lost her vision. Over the last year, I've tried everything under the desert sun: supplements, medications (many different eye drops applied all day long), rewetting gels, medicine in her food that causes diarrhea, hot compresses, flushes, cleanses, and top-shelf organic foods/vitamins. It's been a lot of hard work, yet still, her eyes resist recovery! After many, many trips to the doggy optometrist, we've decided that a duct transplant is the only way to heal Rain and restore her sight and quality of life! I also hope that easing this burden and stress in my life will help me recover quicker! Both of us suffering together is not the sadness that leads to a happier, brighter future.
