Rainy Knob Ranch Barn Fire Emergency Fund

Randy and Holly Prosise own Rainy Knob Ranch located in Loudon, TN. It is a working & producing Grass fed beef, goat, pork, lamb farm. On March 15th during the massive amounts of storms the southeast received, lightning struck the barn. The power immediately went out to the barn and the house. As Randy got up to check things out, he noticed the barn was on fire.

They had a couple of goats and their herd dog, Boone, inside. Boone was recovering from an injury and was on crate rest. He was one of the main working dogs & helped move the herds. As they ran to the barn to try to get the animals out, it was fully engulfed very quickly! There were 2 dogs outside of the barn in the pen and Holly was able to get them out. Gus had some hair singed off and was charred, but is ok. Babs was untouched. They did have some insurance, but it will not cover everything. They had just bought square bales and lost them all. They had tack for the horses, supplies for the goats, cows, etc. Then, the structure itself. I believe it was a landmark for the whole area, but it was definitely the landmark of the farm.

They have some immediate needs as they wait on what on the insurance adjuster. I will share the needs on my Facebook page for those who may have some of the items and want to give but cannot give monetarily. I am Tera Jones on FB. I am Randy‘s daughter and running this page.

I had people asking me to do this. I had to talk to my Dad about it. They don’t ask for anything and have not asked for this. They would rather give than receive. They are humbled at the support from everyone! I’ve never created a go fund me. So bear with me as I learn the ropes. We have started the goal amount at $50,000. That amount make it adjusted up or down as we hear back from insurance. We made this decision based on what we already know from insurance.

We are so grateful no one was hurt. We sincerely appreciate your prayers. Any donations will be appreciated. We are believing God will build it back in full restoration, herd dog and all!
