On August 15th, I will be running 26.2 miles to raise funds for the North Coast Land Conservancy’s proposed Rainforest Reserve. This is an amazing opportunity to secure 3500 acres of crucial land spanning from Hug Point to Oswald West State Park and includes both Onion and Angora peak. Connecting this ridge line with the coastal edge does not only mean a fully complete wildlife corridor,  it means actually having a protected watershed for Arch Cape and protecting Cannon Beach headwaters. With the recent environmental rollbacks in the Trump administration, any protected watershed is a step in the right direction.
