After the New Year, Rainen woke up with swollen lymph nodes, thinking it was just a passing bug. But when weeks went by and they didn’t go down, he knew something wasn’t right. It took another month to see a specialist—and the diagnosis was a heavy blow: throat cancer.

Rainen has always been larger than life, creating beauty in everything he touches—whether through his art, music, or the vibrant spaces he builds for others to enjoy. His band has been gaining great momentum, but now, his focus must shift to fighting cancer.

Starting May 27th, Rainen will begin daily radiation and chemotherapy treatments, five days a week for seven weeks. His doctors are hopeful, and he’s in great hands.

But what will really make the difference is not just the medical treatments, but the love, care, and energy of his community. Rainen has always been independent—he went through a past cancer scare on his own, not wanting to burden anyone—but this time, he knows he can’t do it alone.

In addition to his standard treatment, Rainen needs support for complementary therapies to boost his immune system and help his body heal. He also needs help with living expenses during this difficult period, as his energy will be focused on recovery.
