Rainbow Junktion Hair Shave

I'm shaving off my hair which has not been cut since before the lockdown in 2020, This will raise essential funding for Rainbow Junktion, the vital Leeds-based charity that tackles food poverty, fights food waste and builds community.

The volunteers intercept food that would otherwise be thrown away and turn it into healthy, nutritious meals for anyone and everyone on a pay-as-you-feel/can donation basis. We also run a foodshare supporting 230+ individuals (who represent households totalling 550+ people) (up from 180 in December) in our community who are struggling with food poverty.

With the cost of living crisis forcing food costs to rise dramatically, Rainbow Junktion struggles to obtain healthy vegetables and pantry basics. I am shaving off my hair to raise funds for this vital work enabling so many vulnerable people to have the basics in life - the ability to feed themselves.

The Rainbow Junktion shelves are emptied every week as we endeavour to find ways to provide food for those who struggle in our modern city.
