This weekend a tragic accident happened when 2 local teenagers got into a terrible car accident at Connors Park. A teen girl named Raina Weiers was looking for a designated ride home from a party late Friday evening. When a friend said they were Sober and could take her home, she agreed and got in the vehicle with him. He exceeded regular speeds (Raina begging him to slow down) and proceeded through a stop sign at 9th ave and over the embankment to Connors Park. She was rushed to Moose Jaw hospital and later to Regina. Raina is suffering from a number of serious injuries including a broken back. Raina is currently in Regina hospital recovering from surgery, she still needs to be monitored and will have months of physiotherapy and Doctor appointments. Due to the unfortunate events that happened this weekend will forever change her and her parents life.  Raina Weiers is a bright intelligent young woman and none of us can believe something so tragic could happen to her! Raina can no longer work and won't be able to do sports and her modelling. Her parents will be missing work due to appointments and treatments for her rehabilitation.
