In Loving Memory of Raina: Support for the Simpson Family

We are a group of friends fundraising in memory of Raina Simpson, a beloved mother of three, adoring wife, loving daughter, and ever-shining, hilarious, faithful, and courageous friend. Those who knew Raina knew she was like none other: generous, full-of-life, spirited, and passionate for the Lord. After a 4-year battle with cancer, she, as the Bible says, has finally finished the race and has been given a crown of righteousness, leaving behind a loving family and an expansive network of friends.

Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Raina knows that she had a larger-than-life persona and a remarkable ability to see and love those around her. She befriended the friendless, comforted the hurting, reflected the love of Christ, and radiated joy and a slap-your-knee sense of humor to everyone she came in contact with through the ups and downs of life. Over the course of her life, Raina cooked for, cared for, donated, sat with, prayed for, and encouraged more people than any of us could count. Above all, she was passionate about bringing glory to God, even in the midst of her own suffering. She made earth a little more like heaven.

By the time of her passing on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, Raina’s story had touched people across the globe in a way that only God can orchestrate and only Raina could have faithfully carried out.

Many of us have wondered how any of us could ever repay the love she has so consistently given us. We have the chance to love her family tangibly in the same ways she loved us; We can cook for, care for, financially support, sit with, pray for, and encourage her hurting and heartbroken family in her absence, just like she did for each of us.

The money raised here will help the Simpson family (her husband Dustin and her beautiful children Deacon (11), Judah (9), and Titus (5)) as they find their footing following their tragic loss. Unfortunately, when our loved one leaves us, their medical bills remain.
