Rain City Ropeworks is growing. Please help support our jump rope team so we can continue to provide affordable, quality programming for our jump rope team and kids in our community. (And help send our team to Nationals!)

"Rain City" Ropeworks is a performance and competition jump rope team based out of West Seattle and is coached by World Champ and Cirque Du Soleil performer and Coach Rene Bibaud. We perform at festivals, schools and volunteer as a demo team for "Jump Rope For Heart" for The American Heart Association. Coach Rene has been running motivational school assemblies and jump rope enrichment classes in the community for the past 20 years and calls West Seattle her home. Rain City was formed 5 years ago when interest in the sport grew. The team now includes 40 members - boys and girls ages 9-19. (and a team of 4 adults too!)

Our program is growing, and with that, expenses are on the rise. Currently, we are hoping to raise money for:

$4750 to offset the cost of travel to our first National Championships this June. This will pay for two coaches time and expenses.
$250 Uniform re-branding: We changed our name last year. New branding and uniforms cost money, and we hope to stock uniforms that we can pass along to new athletes at a lower cost. We have received $250 by a generous family. Our total cost was $500

If we raise more than $5,000 we will use the funds towards next season:

2,500 would cover 2 full scholarships or 4 partial scholarships. We would use these funds as needed.
5,000 needed to pay for next seasons facility rentals, and adding one extra practice per week
1,500 for an assistant. Currently Coach pays for an assistant. Funding an assistant would alleviate the financial strain on the Coach.

And if we raise more than that we would use the funds for wish list items:

Tech Equipment - our team needs a new sound system, and the coach would like a computer system in the gym to use as a whiteboard.
Ropes and gear for team members - I'd like to create a team workbook for our new members. Funds raised would help with printing costs. I want to lower the cost of equipment for our team members too if possible.
Team Fund to help offset travel to workshops and tournaments for all team members.

What have raised so far and what were those funds used for?
Current team member families had the option to add $15 per month for 8 months of their team dues to help with funding our facility and scholarship program. THANK YOU! These funds were used as anticipated. They helped offset some costs but did not cover them completely. Rene paid the remainder.
1 family made a $250 donation to our rebranding efforts. THANK YOU!
