What is our appeal

Railway Union are raising €30,000 to help get the Community Hub and Gym Building open in early 2021 and to bolster the club finances which have been affected from the Covid Restrictions in place  since March 2020

In these unusual times, we hope this finds you safe and well. COVID-19 has completely changed how we live our lives and how we engage with our fellow citizens, sports and recreation. However, some things remain the same and have in fact become more important since March 2020; like vital community projects that will benefit the wider community and current and future sports participants.

Railway Union Sports Club have launched a fundraising campaign to help complete our new Community Hub and Gym building and to reinforce the Clubs finances which have taken a major hit since COVID-19 came to our shores.

When will it open
Work on the building has almost reached completion, however vital work still remains so the facility can be opened for early 2021. Who is involved The Railway Union Sports Club Management Committee have taken on this commitment to improve the facilities at the Club for all.

Why we need your help
In normal times, Railway Union would raise these crucial funds through events and other fundraising means, but unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic has put a firm stop to any possibility of achieving this goal in the usual manner. With licensed premises closed in Dublin since March 2020, our ability to host functions and bring in revenue via bar sales has ceased since then and for months to come into the future. Due to this the Club Finances have been severely hit by the pandemic.

How can you help
Please help Railway Union Sports Club complete our goal of our Community Hub and Gym so that it can be fully utilised by all our members and the wider community for many years to come. We are appealing to all members past and present, the local and wider community, parents, friends and supporters of all our sports to make a donation whether big or small.

*For donations of €250 or more the name of the person / company will be displayed on a Donors Board inside the new facility when opened.*
