Railton housefire leaves family homeless

Hello my name is Ruby,

I am the eldest daughter of Selina, and I am setting up a go fund me with the goal to assist my family.

On Monday the 1st August 2022 my mother’s own home caught on fire and burnt down. She lived in the home as a single mum with her young daughters (my sisters) Ivy and pearl, ages 20 and 17. This event was discovered to be the cause of an electrical fire which has demolished the house foundations and all its contents leaving nothing to be recovered and saved.

Thankfully my family were out when the house caught fire. They were on their way to watch the new ‘Elvis’ film, so you could say they were saved by the king! They received the call 25 minutes after leaving the house that their entire home had been demolished by the fire, leaving them with just the clothes on their backs.

Due to unfortunate circumstances my mother’s home was not insured. This means that everything moving forward will be at the cost of Selina to find a new house, demolish the remnants of their old home along with replacing all their household and personal items. As you can imagine on top of the emotional devastation of losing all irreplaceable items the addition of financial distress is upon them to rebuild their lives.

This go fund me is a reach out to the community to help assist Selina and her daughters at this point of crisis. Any donation amount would be so greatly appreciated.
