Rail SIde Café COVID-19 Relief fund
Unfortunately, disaster can strike from anywhere at any time, and preparing for hard times is difficult when you don’t know what it is you have to prepare for.
As a small, family owned and operated business we, Rail Side Café , are trying to keep our doors open and employees on payroll as long as possible. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and stimulus packages exhausted we are in this position today. We are hurting as a nation and as individuals.
With the ongoing threat of COVID-19 making its way around the country , states have been taking calculative measures to ensure the safety of their citizens and attempting to lessen the spread of the virus . California has issued a “Safer at Home” order, which implores California residents to remain inside their homes and only leave for essentials.
We are fortunate in that this “Safer at Home” Order allows delivery and takeout from restaurants so that we may continue to operate, but our sales have-still continued to drop dramatically. Our sales are down over 70% and we are on the phone continuously trying to work on getting grants/loans with SBA and any of our banks. The stress levels are high and we are so grateful for the community of people and our regulars that continue to come in and support us.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000 to help cover payroll and bills for these past few weeks . 100% of the funding will go to the café and our employees. If we surpass our goal that will just help us more on payroll and continue to keep our doors open longer especially if we are unable to find relief elsewhere.
We thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts for anything you can contribute.
Love
