It is with a very heavy heart that I share the sudden and devastating loss of my son Raiden Fischer. On May 7th, 2026, my son took his life at the age of 14 years old.

Our family was not aware that behind his big smile and positive attitude, there was so much pain. We were shocked and confused at the loss, and left wondering why this happened. We may never find an answer.

Raiden dedicated the time he was here to filling by everyone he knew with love, care and the utmost respect. Raiden was extremely dedicated to the VRTC with his judo training under his Sensai Jeremy. Raiden had many accomplishments with Judo, created many memories, made many friends and won many titles. Raiden's sensai has graciously awarded him a black belt for all his dedication and hard work, but not just any black belt, it was the black belt that belonged to his sensai.

Raiden also achieved many accomplishments when it came to music. He loved learning guitar and playing his favorite songs. Music meant everything to him. He always had his headphones with him everywhere he went.

The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this incredibly difficult time means everything right now. A financial donation, however big or small, will have a huge impact on helping me navigate this difficult journey ahead. We understand times are hard for many people, so even a share of this GoFundMe, any prayers offered, or messages of support are greatly appreciated.

Through this GoFundMe, the plan is to donate 20% of all funds raised to the Victoria Judo Club, the Judo club Raiden attended. It is a non profit since 1957 whose goal is to provide high quality instruction in a safe environment for children, youth and adults to learn a martial art that is practiced across the world. We believe this is what Raiden would have wanted.
