Raga's Wedding

Dear Friends and Family

I am reaching out to you to ask for your help in supporting my dear friend Raga with much needed funds for his upcoming wedding ceremony.

I have known Raga for nearly ten

years and he is like a second son

to me. I have been financially

supporting Raga for the same

period and every time I return to Amed, Raga is very proud to

show me all the repairs and

renovations he has made to his

kampung - his family home.

As the unmarried son, Raga is the

main carer and provider for his

aged parents. Raga has also set up a snorkelling hire business which gives him a very modest income.

Now Raga's life has taken an unexpected turn with the very recent news that he and his girlfriend Komang will be parents.

This means that according to

Balinese culture they must be married as soon as possible with the date decided and set by the

village Holy Man.

The date set is 9th January 2025

The donated money will be used to pay for the very expensive Balinese wedding ceremony.

It will encompass guest food, gamelan orchestra, wedding dress, decorations.

This is a formidable amount for Raga and puts another strain on his already limited income.

So I am asking for your generosity and compassion in the form of donations to assist Raga with his wedding ceremony expenses.

My target is $2000.

Please, any amount will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged.

Together we can make this a time of joy for Raga instead of a time of worrying about his lack of funds.
