Rafael’s Race to Finish Rutgers!

Rafael, a graduate from the Hunterdon Central Regional High School and a hard worker from our community, needs our help to finish his studies at Rutgers.  He will be the first in his family to have a bachelor’s degree and has worked hard at a number of jobs since high school to get through college.  These last 7 years have been difficult for him as his family has faced financial and health challenges.

I’ve known Rafael for a number of years and I got to know him better after tutoring him with an assignment when he was finishing his high school senior year.  He is a very good and decent person and cares deeply about his family.     

After graduating from high school, Rafael attended Raritan Valley Community College while he was working at Rite Aid to pay for his tuition and studies.  After 3 years, he obtained his Associates’ degree and was on the Dean’s List.  He is very proud of this achievement and was admitted to Rutgers to continue his studies!

Rafael has only one more year to go to complete his ambition of becoming a mechanical engineer.  He needs your help to cross the finish line in paying for a small portion of his studies and tuition.  His plans after graduating from Rutgers are to work for a few years and save up for a Master’s Degree in Bio-medical Engineering.  Any amount you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.  Please join me in supporting him and being part of his success!  Thank you!
