Rafael's fundraiser for NYLF Engineering Program

My name is Rafael Mendoza, I am 16 years old. I had the opportunity to live in Barcelona, Spain for 2 years. I have been living in Holly Springs, North Carolina since 2019. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish, also I have basic knowledge of French, Catalan, and German. I go to Holly Springs High School and I am in 10th grade. I am enrolled in the NYLF Engineering program and I am looking for some help, so that I can fully pay for the program. These are some reasons why you should help me fund for this program due to engineering related subjects I have done in the past. Since I was just a child I have been in love with math, with all the numbers and equations/finding solutions for various problems. For example in 5th grade I created an art robot for the science fair and I won my school fair so I went to the state fair.
In addition, I went to the Deutsches museum and BMW in Munich at the age of 11. While I was adventuring in Munich around those places I was very interested in all the robotics, how they made cars, futuristics cars in the making, etc. During the pandemic I studied and did Algebra of Baldor who was a very famous mathematician. As of right now I am in Math III honors and I have been doing very well, right now we are doing trigonometry in math. And trigonometry is very useful in Physics which I also am doing as of now, you can use trigonometry while using vectors, etc. Right now I have Physics honors and I am also excelling in this class, and I have done many lab projects. Recently I have done a nerf projectile motion lab, a remote car lab (calculating its initial speed and final speed), and I also did a contraption in which I made with another person to see if it didn’t break from twenty feet made out of paper. Finally, I am also in the Engineering Club at my school and I work with someone else in the mechanical engineering department. We are designing a bridge made out of 3-D printing materials and plastic bottles, and this bridge that we are making has to withstand about 2 people walking on it all the way till the end. Also, we are doing other cool projects in this club; we are building a rocket (which will be sent to NASA so they can inspect it and if they say it's good we get to launch it into space for 3 minutes), and finally we are making a robot of some sort for electrical engineering. Thank you for reading my essay and I hope that you take into consideration giving me a scholarship for this program, in which I have dreamed of doing something like this for a long time.
