Rafael Reyes 2022 Fundraiser
Donation protected
Rafael Reyes has been a part of the Indian Hill staff since 1988. In his last 34 years, he has held many jobs around the Club with the most recent position being the 10th tee ambassador at the halfway house.
Due to a terrible accident in January 2021 at his hometown in Guanaguato, Mexico, Rafa almost lost his life. Thankfully, his life was saved by physicians in Mexico with multiple surgeries. But, unfortunately, Rafa had his right arm amputated below the elbow.
Since the accident, Rafa has been focused on the extensive healing and rehabilitation process in Mexico, and has been unable to work. Rafa has expressed his desire to return to the Club as soon as his rehabilitation allows. The Club is eager to welcome him back as soon as possible, and is committed to creating whatever opportunities he needs for employment.
Over the last few months, Rafa has been testing new prosthetic arms to help him in everyday tasks. With the help of his physicians, he has found the appropriate prosthetic.
We are looking for your generosity to help cover the cost of the prosthetic arm and the associated rehabilitation, as well as to ease the hardship this has caused for his family. Your generosity will help Rafa lead a more normal life. And it will help him continue his path back to the Indian Hill family.
Our goal is to raise $80,000. All funds raised will go directly to Rafa.
