We are all shattered with grief over the loss of our dear friend Rafa.
To know Rafa was to love him. From his infectious laugh to shining smile, his unparalleled work ethic, his keen wit, and his analytical mind, he was truly one of a kind and left an unforgettable impression on everyone he met. So many of us had the privilege to work with Rafa on productions, shows and even on tour. His positivity, comradery and resourcefulness was an invaluable and dependable resource that consistently saved the day. It doesn’t matter how bad the problem was or how dark the situation, he would absorb the problem and immediately find a solution.
Outside of work, to spend time with Rafa was both exhilarating and healing. From adventures where you didn’t know where you were headed, to the quiet moments of understanding and encouragement, spending time with him left you feeling loved.
His sudden passing has left us all with a void and sense of emptiness. In moments like these, there is always a resounding question rolling around in our minds “What can I do to help?”
The reality is that a sudden passing of this nature, leaves a great many needs. To create an outlet for all of us to express our affection and love we have started this GoFundMe page to address the financial burdens for his family. The last thing we want for Rafa’s family to be concerned about during this time of grieving, is financial worries. All donated funds will go straight to the family. Every little bit helps.
