Approximately 10-20,000 people in America suffer a spinal cord injury every year.
Insurance coverage lasts only 3 months on average for physical therapy following injury.
I will be riding my bicycle across America, from Huntington Beach, California to Miami, Florida. During the journey, I will be documenting the journey to attempt to start a conversation, dialogue, trend that increases the awareness of this need.
A secondary purpose is that those who follow my journey, will be able to repeat it, regardless of your cycling skill set. I will attempt to entertain, educate, and share my story of America.
I will also be interviewing folks as I travel and posting the content to Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram.
The funds you provide will be used to assist in covering the expenses. For example,
A meal: approximately $10.00
A shower at a truck stop: $12.00
A night in a motel: $70-$90
A flight home from Miami: $200-$400
My bicycle cost: $2,400
I'll log all of my expenses and will provide a link to the project GDrive for anyone who requests seeing where they're money is going. I believe in transparency. Any remaining funds at the end of the journey, will be donated to The Triumph Foundation in Sylmar, California.
