Our dear friend Rafa has recently been diagnosed with leukaemia.

Rafa is a kind, caring and beautiful young boy, and his family now face a very long and challenging journey ahead. Over the next year, there will be frequent trips to Randwick Children’s Hospital for treatment, while also ensuring Rafa’s younger sister, who is still at preschool, receives the love, care and support she needs.

Like many families, both parents Pernilla and Richie need to continue working while juggling the demands of caring for two children on opposite sides of Sydney. The emotional, physical and financial strain will be immense.

We would love to come together as a community to support Rafa and his family during this difficult time. While the family feels a little uncomfortable about a fundraiser and would never ask for help themselves, they are incredibly grateful for the love and support being shown to them. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will be deeply appreciated and will help ease some of the financial pressure, allowing them to focus on what matters most — Rafa’s treatment, recovery, and keeping their family strong through the months ahead.
