RAF Wittering supporting the RAF Benevolent Fund

A team of 34 exceptional volunteers have joined forces to raise £3000 for a cause who donated over £400, 000 in 2018 alone to RAF Wittering; not only benefitting RAF personnel, but the local community surrounding the station - the RAF Benevolent Fund. The Wittering Wildfire's are led by Station Commander Group Captain Jo Lincoln, the team have weekly running meets and a bespoke training programme to stick to. All volunteers are RAF Wittering station personnel who have willingly given up their spare time to train blood, sweat and tears for the final goal of the Peterborough Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October 2019.

Please feel free to keep up to date with our journey as we will be posting pictures to document the hard work and dedication from the team.

More information about Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund: The Royal Air Force has a proud tradition of looking after its own. The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAFs leading welfare charity and is an extension of that tradition. Since their foundation in 1919, they have been there, through thick and thin, supporting the RAF family. They are there for all serving and former members of the RAF as well as their partners and dependent children.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to everyone who is serving in the RAF past and present.
