I am seeking help for my brother and sister-in-law who are facing tremendous medical bills in association with their 10-year-old daughter, Raelynn. In January, Raelynn became sick and was taken to the walk-in clinic. She had been complaining of pain and was misdiagnosed with constipation and sent home with Miralax. Five days later, she was still no better, was taken back to a different walk-in clinic, and immediately rushed to the ER and subsequently taken by ambulance to Fort Wayne for surgery on a burst appendix. This has been an odyssey for her parents and she spent a 12 days in the hospital had two surgeries and two drains for the four abscesses before being discharged. Then she was given 6 weeks of antibiotics before she could finally have her appendix removed. She was finally able to have her appendix removed in April and is doing better. Any amount would help them as they have no insurance and are being told they have to pay a small fortune in medical debt
Neither Drew nor Stephanie are offered health insurance by their employers which has led to this situation. Any amount would help.
