My name is T.J. Burke.
My cousin, Rae Anne McLaughlin, has a battle she can win but needs help with your support. She has been diagnosed with Stage 4 throat and neck cancer.
Most of you know Rae Anne somehow. Maybe you were supervising for an MVK school sitting in a suite at a Mets/Yankees game or sat front row at the Philharmonic or you were in the audience at an early morning NBC concert on the Today Show.
Rae Anne is the Executive Director for Most Valuable Kids (MVK). Her mission is to give the opportunity for inner city and/or underprivileged kids that do well in school to attend sporting and cultural events.
MVK gives tickets to these derserving children. She gives them reasons to stay on the right path.
Rae Anne does not think of herself first. It's her twin son and daughter first, under privileged kids next.
Raeanne works 24/7 for the non profit world, but yet receives NO MEDICAL BENEFITS, just pure love and satisfaction.
She would be the first to run a benefit for someone else in her shoes.
That's where I come in. If all of those that were recipients of tickets throughout the years donated $25 or if you just want to help someone who gives so much of herself, we would easily reach this goal of $20,000.
When I spoke to my cousin, her worry was her kids, not herself. Rae Anne made a promise to assist them the best she could in their young, adult lives. She insisted they continue their college degrees. They commute and both work very hard along with the help of their amazing mom. You can understand how hard that can be with their mom taking on the toughest battle she's ever seen.
This simple goal can help ease the financial burden Rae Anne and her kids will endure. It can help pay for a blood test, a copay, or even gas money.
Please give what you can. If it's less than $25 great! More? Even better! Let's now be her FANS and give what we can.
