Welp. The truth of it is…

I broke my dang foot and, you guessed it, I am entirely unable to work behind the chair for what could be as long as the next 8 weeks

I’ve had some additional health stuff happening due to my mobility challenges, which is so frustrating and exhausting. Some days I can barely get myself into the bathtub on my own, that part really sucks.

I feel overwhelmed and angry at the injury and “forced stay-cation” I’ve been handed. Especially after making a huge move with BPHS’s location and investing even further in my dream for the Richmond queer community. I want to show up, I have to show up.

But my body is physically tired and demands a period of restoration.

So, here’s my humble ask for financial support.

This is one of the hardest things for me to ask for and everything in my body cringes at the thought. My ego is wounded!

I’ve always had to work hard to earn everything I have.

If you’re unable to donate financially, it would mean the world to me to hear some of your stories about your experience in my chair and reconnect with you.

I have places for business reviews on google, my Vagaro booking site, and square if you’re really feeling up for it

If you’re able to give anything monetarily, but not by way of donation, I am happy to agree to pre-paid haircuts.

I am also open minded about other potential trades.

My return plan is still a bit of a question but I know I’ll be needing to ease back into work days slowly. I gotta build this stamina back up which means cutting the amount of daily appointments I can take in half to start.
