My fiancé Courtney Blondheim has been the biggest inspiration in my life, being a cancer survivor and cancer free for the past 3 years. She had a life changing surgery in December 2011 where Dr scudamore resected 90% of her liver trying to remove all of the malignant tumour. With only 10% of her liver remaining she fought and stayed strong and eventually her liver grew back, hoping the cancer would never come back. Unfortunately just over a year ago she was informed her liver cancer came back. The only option was to do a transplant because of the cancerous tumours that have shown up on her mri and ct scans. My heart was already givin to Courtney going on 6 years ago she has been my fiancé for the past 3 years. So it didn't take me long to realize I needed to be tested to see if I would be a match to donate her a portion of my liver. Amazing enough all of the test results came back and I have been a perfect match. So this June Courtney and I will be enduring a life changing surgery. I am very excited and I cannot wait for this all to be over so we can finally move on with our lives.
