RADKA'S GoFundMe Story
It's hard to imagine that any harm would come to those who are close to you, so when a beautiful young friend falls ill, you feel completely helpless and overwhelmed.
Our dear friend Radka, who is all of 34 years old was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had to go through a 12-hour surgery to remove the cancer. After the surgery it was necessary for her to take off 8 weeks of work to recover from the operation. Radka’s Dr. now recommends chemotherapy!
Chemo will destroy her eggs and with that, her opportunities to one day have a baby! Knowing this, Radka has spent every penny of her savings to freeze her eggs before the start of chemotherapy to secure her ability to have the family of her dreams.
Originally from Slovaka, Radka has no family in the United States. Due to Covid travel restrictions she chose not to tell her parents about the cancer as it would only cause worry and they could not travel to see her. Radka has gone through all of her treatment without the presences of her family, which goes to show what a loving, thoughtful person she is!
With this additional challenge of chemotherapy some of her friends wanted to find a way to help because, like most of us, she doesn’t want to ask. We can all look at our lives and count a multitude of blessings that have been showered upon us and I am sure everyone can recall a time of humble need as well. So on Radka’s behalf we are asking for your assistance to help her get back on track so she can overcome the financial burden of this health crisis and get back to work. Anything you can give is welcome. All donations will go directly to her medical and living expenses. She is eternally grateful and has always been a generous, kind and caring friend.
