Hellosies
I’m Radish. It’s soooo lovely to meet you all. I’m only a ickle lady at seven months old but I’m desperately hoping that there are some wonderful peeps that would like to help save my life.
I was being advertised for sale from a farm breeder who said that we were eight weeks old. Two wonderful ladies came to meet us and instantly knew that something was wrong, very wrong! And thank god they did.
They found my siblings and I living outside, filthy scared and malnourished. The breeder told them that my mummy had died. I was heartbroken when she left and now we are all alone, fighting to survive without our mummy or her milk to feed us.
The lovely ladies paid the breeder and took us all just to ensure that we were safe. How nice was that! Sadly it soon became clear that we all needed more help then they could give us so they reached out to a local rescue.
As soon as I got to the rescue my foster mummy was waiting to take me home. The rescue said that they didn’t think I would make it, I was clearly the runt of the litter and beyond tiny. All you could really see were my ickle bones.
I was taken straight to the vets and they informed my foster family that I was actually only around four weeks old (still didn’t have any teeth) and was very very malnourished. They sadly found I had a club paw and only weighed 430 gams. The vets said it would be touch and go.
My foster family were determined to fight for me and were absolutely amazing. They started to bottle feed me every two hours without fail. Taking it in turns so I was never left alone so I wasn’t scared or felt abandoned. Through their hard work, dedication and love I started to slowly turn a corner. I started to fight to survive. I took it one day at a time and now I’m 1.86kg , which is the size of a four month old kitten.
I’ve earned the nickname of Miss Naughty pants. That’s because I’m into everything and everyone. I steal food, climb up people and sit on their shoulders. I run around and play hard like a complete lunatic. I’m the destroyer of pampas grass and biter of feet. So needless to say I’m your happy mischievous kitten.
My foster family couldn’t bear to lose me so they adopted me YAY!! I now have my very own forever home and family. I also get two furry big brothers who look after me. I love them lots but they know I’m the boss!
I now had everything that I’d dreamed of and was living a life full of fun and love and then WHAM, I took a very bad turn for the worst and was rushed to the vets.
After lots of investigation they found that I had FIP. I mean could this get any worse?! I lost my mummy, lived in a dire situation, have a club paw, was a bag of bones due to being starved and now handed what would have been a death sentence. I was completely broken.
FIP was a killer. But today we have life saving medication. It’s a game changer. Sadly the medication comes at a high cost. Each treatment is £250 pounds and I need three months to cure me. A months cost is £250 so £750 for the course plus all the bills incurred to find out what was wrong with me.
This is a very big cost for anyone to bear. We are Catitude rescue, a new charity that helps unwanted and abandoned cats and is helping Radish get the funding she needs to save her life. Currently we are waiting to hear back from the charity commission then we will be up and running. In the meantime we have started this go fund me page.
All monies will go directly to our vets. Linkswoods Vets In Halstead Essex. Any monies left will go towards helping other abandoned and unwanted kittens and cats.
Could you donate the cost of a coffee? A glass or wine? A beer? Maybe you’re lunchtime sandwich. It’s always said “ a little goes a long way” together we can help to save Radish and change her life forever.
Radish will fight her hardest. We will fight for Radish to ensure she gets the best care and treatment needed. Will you fight with us? Radish wants to live. Radish wants to have a life time of happiness ahead of her. Radish wants to put her naughty pants back on.
It always takes a village. Could you be part of ours? Any donation that you could give would be greatly appreciated!
Please please could you find it in your hearts to help this very special little lady.
Lots of love Radish and Catitude Rescue
