RADical Rory’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Our RADical Rory decided to make an early entrance to this world, on Thursday 3/27, a little less than 2 weeks early. With an early arrival, and his diagnosis, he was admitted to the NICU where he is still residing. While he is on the road to breaking out of the NICU, he’s still got at least a week or so to go.
We never imagined we’d find ourselves in the NICU for such an extended amount of time, but here we are. We’ve contacted our insurance carrier to find out the estimated costs we may incur, and we are thankful that Rory does have an individual OOP maximum. Even with his Trisomy 21 diagnosis, unfortunately in the state of Kentucky that does not constitute Medicare coverage for him.
We never imagined we'd find ourselves in this position, but here we are, reaching out for help. With the rising cost of everything in today’s economy, our budget is stretched thinner and thinner every month, and this unexpected medical expense has left us feeling anxious.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of helping so many others in their time of need, and now we’re humbly asking for support as we navigate this challenging journey with our little one. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a world of difference to us during this unexpected time.
Thank you for considering our family—your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express.
With gratitude,
Michael, Kelly, Parker, Eli, Oliver and Baby Rory
