Radical Change Requires Radical Action

We are Radical Aid Jax, a co-operative from Jacksonville, Florida. Our focus is to highlight and bring attention to systemic racism, oppression and disenfranchisement, while also providing a physical presence with boots on the ground while simultaneously standing in solidarity with our community. 

We are currently providing direct aid to the houseless camp here in Jacksonville who continues to be harassed, taken advantage of and neglected in our city, Jacksonville. 100% of ALL donations go directly to the houseless. 

The houseless shelters have cut capacity to 50% while also receiving millions in government relief money to assist our fellow citizens during a this pandemic, those who are without a home or place to sleep, safe from the elements are being forced to sleep outside often without any shelter. This is especially concerning under normal conditions, even more so during a global pandemic.

The city itself has refused to assist in finding these citizens adequate assistance so we are stepping up and trying to raise enough money to rent out a hotel and get our houseless from the Jefferson St Houseless camp out of the cold for the following weeks until we can further our efforts in assisting in finding permanent housing and occupations since our city refuses to assist. 

Every other major city, from California to New York has been able to house the houseless in hotels and extended stays to assist in limiting the spread of covid, and help to get them to get inside as well as the opportunity they so desperately need. Especially during the wintertime.
