So as most of you know, the doctors discovered an Arterio Venous Malformation(AVM) on the right temporal lobe of my brain. It is touching my amygdala and hypothalamus which is the part of the brain that controls my fight or flight response, my memory, and my personality.

This AVM has been causing me terrible migraines, occasional partial seizures, anxiety & fear for no reason, and my very first grand mal seizures that land me in the ER. We must make sure my AVM didn't rupture causing a brain bleed leading to a stroke.

 

I, unfortunately, do not have the good job that a lot of you knew I had for a long time. The company I worked for found a sneaky way of laying me off once they knew my situation, stating they needed to do budget cuts and I was one of the affected people. How convenient, right?! 

Anyway, now here I am without insurance, without a job, and I require medical intervention. The doctors have confirmed that my only option is two maybe three rounds of radiation to help reduce the risk of a fatal stroke.

 

The procedure does have a high risk because of where it is in my brain, but either I take that risk or run a daily constant risk of having a stroke and not surviving it. Some of the risks of the procedure are: having a stroke while they are shooting the radiation to my brain, becoming a vegetable, completely forgetting who everybody is (including myself), or my personality completely changing. 

I need you all to be positive and pray for me as hard as you can. I am also now in this situation that I never thought I would ever be in and I'm having to ask for any financial help you all can provide. I feel terrible but I have to leave my pride aside, be humble, and hope to receive as many blessings as you all can spare or provide to us. 

The procedure itself will be really expensive because of no insurance. Jimmy, my husband who is self-employed  and the only source of income, will be having to put his work on hold to help me through my recovery and to take care of our 2-year-old baby. We have already started seeing some bills come to us because of the times I ended up in the ER. 

I will do my part of getting as much financial assistance as I can from the hospital or wherever I can but anything you decide to donate to us will be very helpful and appreciated. Thank you all for your emotional, spiritual, and financial support. We love you all!
