Dear Family and Friends,
In May 2020, 30 of us embarked on the three year journey of Radford University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Many of us have been dreaming of this moment for many years and we are thrilled to be able to begin this part of our lives and careers as future Physical Therapists.
Part of our program requires the student to fundraise over the course of our three years in order to help fund different significant events that are key to our success and futures: graduation, our White Coat Ceremony, and other opportunities to help us best prepare to take the National Physical Therapy Examination. Our White Coat ceremony serves as a rite of passage into the healthcare practice and allows us to further understand the values of humanism as the core of healthcare. This is the first ceremony we will get to be a part of during school. And Graduation will be the final ceremony celebrating the beginning of the rest of our careers.
Normally we would be out fundraising with bake sales and car washes, but in the midst of the pandemic, a lot of our options have been taken away. We want to protect the health of others so we are currently brainstorming more ways to help raise the money we need in a safe way, but for now we need your help! We would not be where we are without the support of our friends and family members and we are asking for your help in helping us raise these funds so that we may be able to fully embrace this life-changing experience. Any amount, big or small, will help assist us in reaching our goals.
