Denis "Rackard" Coady, Kit-man to the Kilkenny Senior Hurling Team for years would like your help and support with this ambitious fundraiser. Our aim is to complete a 2 Day inter county road trip on a lawnmower. Money raised will be divided and will go directly to Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare and Wexford Hospice Homecare who have linked their charity bank accounts to us.
Yes, the whole journey will be completed by "Rackard" while riding a Husqvarna Lawnmower, kindly sponsored along with a very generous donation by James O'Rourke, Husqvarna Centre, Ballyrue, New Ross, Co. Wexford. https://www.husqvarnanewross.ie/
Day 1. On Saturday 29th August 2020, we will travel from Kilkenny Castle to the Nicky Rackard Memorial Statue in Wexford Town. This route will take in Bennettsbridge, Thomastown, Inistioge, turning at the Ferrybridge in The Rower, and heading onto Clonroche and Enniscorthy, before arriving at the Quay in Wexford Town to finish the day at the Nicky Rackard Memorial.
Day 2. On Sunday 30th August 2020, we depart from Wexford Quay, meeting again at the Nicky Rackard Statue. We will then make our way through Ballinaboola, New Ross, and The Rower and back to Graiguenamanagh.
Assisted by a strong committed team of helpers and volunteers "Rackard" aims to raise as much money as possible for the dedicated and tireless workers within the Homecare Team sector.
Money raised will be divided equally between Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare and Wexford Hospice Homecare. These great charities need no explanation for the Trojan work they do for those who need them.
