Hello,
I am trying to raise funds to help my wonderful friend Carmen Rush fight aggressive breast cancer.
For over 20 years, Carmen and Chuck Rush have brought joy to thousands through Crash-A-Rama. The roar of the engines, the excitement, the memories. But while the show brings people in, it's often Carmen who leaves a lasting impression.
It's the way she looks you in the eye and makes you feel like you matter. The way she says "I love you" and means it. The way she turns strangers into family.
Carmen and Chuck have worked side by side with crews in Monster Jam and built deep relationships across the racing community. From Crash-A-Rama at Holland Speedway in New York and Lake Erie Speedway in Pennsylvania to their racing family at New Smyrna Speedway in Florida, they have spent their lives giving joy, showing up, and loving people well. They are the ones who show up without hesitation. The ones who sit with you in hard moments. The ones who make sure you never feel alone in this world.
Now, Carmen is facing the fight of her life. She has been diagnosed with Grade 3 HER2-positive invasive breast cancer. It's aggressive and she needs immediate treatment, including surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation.
Carmen will begin treatment at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo while they are here in the area, far from their Florida home.
Before she can even begin to fight, there is a major hurdle. Carmen and Chuck do not have health insurance.
Carmen is scheduled for surgery on June 9, 2026, and the surgery is going to cost over $20,000 and it must be paid for in advance before she can receive treatment. Soon after the surgery, she will need to begin chemotherapy, which is very expensive and will also need to be paid in advance before that part of her treatment can begin.
They will need $50,000 just to start the life-saving treatment, with the total cost of this fight may end up costing over $300,000.
Please rest assured that every penny donated will go directly to the cost of her treatment.
If Carmen and Chuck have ever made you feel seen, loved, or like you belonged, or have been a part of their racing community or enjoyed Crash-A-Rama as a fan, now is the time to show up for them when they need it most.
If you are able, please consider making a donation today. Any amount, big or small, brings her one step closer to the treatment she urgently needs. If you cannot give, sharing this with others can make all the difference.
Let's surround Carmen and Chuck with the same love they have poured into all of us throughout the years.
Thank you!
