The High Caliber Hot Shots are partnering with the 3 Sisters Marathon to raise money for Running for Freedom. Running for Freedom is a non-profit group with the mission "to empower individuals of all abilities to experience the exhilaration of crossing the finish line." The group works to provide aerodynamic wheelchairs to the organizers of road races. This allows people of all different abilities to participate in road races as athletes - from 5Ks to full marathons. These specially crafted lightweight wheelchairs are designed for the comfort of both athletes - the one pushing the wheelchair and the one enjoying the ride!

High Caliber Performance Horse Farrier and longtime friend of the Hot Shots, Gordon Ingram, is no stranger when it comes to Running for Freedom. Gordon has raised the funds to provide an adaptive wheelchair to races in his local region and can be seen pushing that wheelchair for miles at a time - anything to give kids the feeling of freedom that running brings to him.

Gordon and Lori Ingram have been the driving force behind the creation of The 3 Sisters Marathon in Danville, VA. This year, on September 5th and 6th, members of the High Caliber team will be taking part in both the 5K and 1/2 marathon portion of The 3 Sisters Marathon. Besides crossing the actual finish line, the High Caliber team's goal is to present Running for Freedom with an adaptive wheelchair sporting the High Caliber colors of navy blue and gold. The Hot Shots wheelchair will then travel up and down the East Coast of the United States - making big memories and a BIG difference in people's lives for years to come!
