Racing for Pediatric Cancer
Tax deductible
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Like so many families, our family has been impacted by pediatric cancer. My nephew, Nathan, was diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer at the age of two and although he has fought his way into remission he has a lifelong battle to stay there and against the effects of his treatment. On September 28, I will be racing in the Spartan World Championships in Lake Tahoe, CA. I will be running and tackling obstacles over a 12-14 mile course with elevation, altitude, terrain and alongside the top obstacle course racers in the world. As challenging as this race will be it in no way compares to the challenges and fight that face so many children and their families dealing with pediatric cancer. I am raising money for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, a research hospital dedicated to making breakthroughs in cancer treatment and providing the best care to every patient. If you or someone you know has felt the impact of childhood cancer please consider donating. And look for me on September 28 running in gold! Thank you so much!
