Dear Compassionate souls,

I hope this message finds you well today, I am Sherin Mathew, reaching out not as an individual but as a part of a dedicated team of Spartans - Raj Soor, Iti Naiz, Joel Thompson, and Ashwin Sunny Mariraj. Together, we believe in the extraordinary power of collective action to bring about profound change.

We've signed up for the Spartan race and by doing so we've embarked on a challenging journey that surpasses mere physical exertion; it's a journey of the heart and soul.

Each one of us is deeply committed to championing a cause that touches our very core. We've pledged ourselves to rigorous training and the demanding Spartan race, not for glory or personal achievement, but to raise funds for these pressing issues:

Suicide Prevention: In our beloved United Kingdom, suicide is a tragic and harrowing reality. It claims more lives than we dare to imagine, with men under the age of 50 being the most vulnerable. We must stand together to combat this heart-wrenching statistic.

Children in Need: Every child deserves love, care, and an opportunity to thrive. Shockingly, 1 in every 30 children needs special care and attention. We strive to make their lives better.

Cancer Research: The specter of cancer casts a long shadow over countless families. Millions of people are living with this insidious disease, and the numbers continue to rise. Our mission is to contribute to the ongoing battle against cancer.

Poverty: Poverty is a silent, pervasive crisis that afflicts our society. In 2020/21, an astonishing one in five people in the UK lived in poverty. We cannot stand idly by while so many suffer due to circumstances beyond their control.

Your generous donations with open hearts will enable us to not only meet our fundraising goals but also participate in the Spartan race on the 8th of October in London. Every penny counts, and your contribution will make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
