Hello dear all!
My name is Lisa Berger, I am an Austrian offshore sailor and skipper of the Lisa Berger Sailing team with the goal to participate in the Globe 40 race 2025/2026!
The last 3 years I have been preparing and qualifying for my first big project, the Mini Transat 2023, and i can proudly say that I made it and I crossed the Atlantic Ocean solo on a 6.5m racing machine, the Mini 650.
Now, I - together with my Welsh Co-Skipper Jade - feel ready to go for the next step and race around the world.
The Globe 40 is a doublehanded race around the world in 6 legs over 8 months and is raced on 12m racing yachts, the Class 40.
The race starts in August/September 2025, which already feels like tomorrow.
So the next important step is to purchase a used Class 40 as soon as possible so that we can prepare the boat for the race and, most importantly, learn how to sail her fast!
Also we aim to find strong partners to do this amazing journey with us!
Now that there is not much time left, we are reaching out to you, since every project start can be hard, with ups and downs.. but everything is possible if one believes in it and with your help we get one big step closer to set sails and get to the starting line!
