Racing Antarctica - The Last Desert
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Yasmin, and I've always had a passion for adventure. I’ve sailed across the Atlantic, hitchhiked from Austria to China, and cycled through Southeast Asia. Pushing my limits and exploring the world in unconventional ways has always been at the core of who I am.
Recently, I’ve channeled this adventurous spirit into the world of ultramarathon running. This year, I took on the incredible challenge of running my first two desert ultramarathons of 250km each and 170km in the Swedish forests. And I’m thrilled to share that I did so with remarkable success!
In my first ultramarathon, the Namib Race, a grueling, hot, and sandy 250 km stage race, I finished in second place. Just six weeks later, I went on to win the Gobi March in Mongolia, placing in the top 10 overall (f/m) in both events. In September, ran my first 100miles (170km) and won the Sörmlands 100 race.
Now, I’m preparing for my next big challenges: the Last Desert Race in Antarctica in November 2024 and the Atacama Crossing in Chile in March 2025. The Antarctica race, in particular, has been one of my biggest dreams for years, and now I have the chance to finally tackle it.
Ultramarathons have allowed me to combine my love for extreme adventures with my determination to win. But as you can imagine, the costs of participating in these international races—including travel, entry fees, and equipment—are significant.
Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help me take on this once-in-a-lifetime challenge. Thank you for believing in me and supporting my dream to push the boundaries of what’s possible!
