Rachel goes to Ellison Ballet

Hi Everyone,

I’m Rachel Soltesz and I am 15 years old, pursing my dreams to become a professional ballerina.

I currently train 6-7 days a week, at the Richter Academy of Classical Dance. I mainly study ballet, but I also take other styles of dance such as Contemporary, Acrobatics, Pilates, historical dance, variations, and lots of stretch and strengthening classes. I do online virtual school, so there is more time for me to train and increase my ballet technique during the day.

When I was little, probably around 7, I decided that I wanted to become a professional ballerina. I did many other activities but this was the only one that stuck with me. I trained every day, all the time. I even would dance ballet throughout all the stores I went to. It was just my thing.

Previously, I have attended Bolshoi Ballet Acadmey Summer Intensive in Connecticut, and also the Marat Daukayev Summer Intensive.

This summer, I have been offered to attend the very prestigious Ellison Ballet Summer Intensive for six weeks in New York City. This was such an amazing opportunity to train with some of the best ballet masters from around the world. Mr. Edward Ellison created this program for a limited amount of selected students to come and train with him along with lots of other teachers to achieve individual progress in technique, artistry, and greater fluidity in movement.

Below is the breakdown of the expenses needed for me to go to the six week program.

Housing- $2,900
Subway Transportation- $200
Airfare- $430
Meals- $600
Pointe Shoes/Dance expenses- $300
Total- $9,430

I have been working hard to raise money to cover these costs all year long by babysitting, teaching ballet, selling banana and pumpkin bread with another aspiring ballerina, and recycling. However, I still need your help to complete this goal.

Please help me raise money so I can make my dreams possible to go to Ellison Ballet SI. I really appreciate all the support, please feel free to share with your friends and family!! Any donation will be really appreciated, no amount is too small!!
Thank you so much, Rachel Soltesz
