Rachel's Totaled Car

This past weekend, Friday, June 9th, a day before Rachel's birthday, she was in a car accident with her son Jermaine and another passenger. The accident totaled her 2009 Honda CR-V which is her only source of transportation. They went to the hospital, got x-rays and thankfully outside of some bruising, and minor scraps they are all fine with no major injuries! However, Rachel only has liability insurance, which covers the other person’s vehicle, not hers. Currently, she still has a balance of over $5,000 on the vehicle that was totaled, plus the need for another one. My hope is through this GoFundMe effort Rachel will be encouraged and supported in getting through this difficult season through your prayers and donations. As many of you know, Rachel works a full-time job as Paraprofessional Special Education Educator with Spotsylvania County Schools and also holds a part-time job as a caregiver to a child with autism. She's a hard worker, and often also bakes amazing pound cakes as another side hustle.

Not having a car, or any compensation for her car being totaled is a HUGE blow to Rachel's economic stability, ability to continue to maintain her jobs, and drive Jermaine to his summer sports, doctors appointments etc. Thank you for any financial support you’re able to offer to help Rachel get back on her feet!!
