"Rachel's Room" Rachel is the twelve year old daughter of Richard and Renita Singletary of Whiteville, NC and is the youngest of four children. Rachel has a truly contagious smile that captures your heart the moment you meet her. You can just feel the love, joy and peace that surrounds her. Some of the activities she enjoys are listening to music, watching anything with lights, having story time, going to church and spending time with her family. Rachel suffers daily from Epilepsy {a seizure condition}, Cerebral Palsy, Microcephaly, is G-Tube fed and is total care dependent. Although she has multiple health issues Rachel still shows an undeniable strength and remains a remarkable inspiration to her family and friends. Due to the multiple health issues and challenges Rachel faces daily there has become a great need for a space to call her own. She currently shares a bedroom and bathroom with her parents' which is not handicap accessible. We have a vision to create a space that Rachel so desperately needs. This space needs to include a handicap accessible bedroom/bathroom, therapy area and storage space for medical supplies. To achieve this vision we need your help. Caring for a child with special needs poses a truly unexpected financial obligation on a family. With your help we can continue to give Rachel the best at home care she deserves.
