My name is Rachel Pollock, and I’m a 30-year-old woman whose life took a sudden and difficult turn after a serious car accident on April 9th, just one week after I relocated to Bryan, TX from Austin. I am so grateful to be here on earth. I was working prior to the accident and had been in a really good place with my health and routine. I was consistent with stretching and movement, and I enjoyed hula hooping, dancing, crafting, and spending time with my cat and boyfriend. We love traveling and live music, and I was excited to keep creating my life in Bryan.
Since the accident, I have been facing a long and painful recovery. I sustained two pelvic fractures, a fractured tailbone, a fractured finger, a collapsed lung, and a fractured humerus in my left arm, which also caused radial nerve palsy. Alongside smaller injuries. I spent a total of 3 plus weeks in hospital/rehabilitation, but the healing process is far from over. This has been incredibly hard for me to process, not only physically but emotionally as well. It has been overwhelming to go from being active and consistent with movement and flow to suddenly dealing with so much pain, uncertainty, and loss of independence. Bonnie, my first vehicle, was lost in this accident which was hard.
Being out of work has made it hard to keep up with bills and everyday expenses, and I’m doing my best not to fall behind while I focus on healing. Any money raised will go toward medical equipment, medical bills, overdue bills, rent, utilities, groceries, and other essential living expenses. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference during this incredibly difficult time.
I am deeply grateful for any support, prayers, donations, or shares. Thank you for helping me get through this chapter and giving me the chance to focus on recovery and rebuilding my life.
