Rachel’s Endometriosis Hysterectomy Recovery Fund

Hi, My name is Rachel and my mom wanted me to create a fundraiser to help me pay for my lost wages and medical bills due to my major surgery I am having December 7th. This will be my 5th surgery on my pelvis due to Endometriosis. I am having a radical hysterectomy (removing everything), bowel resection, appendix removal, and my bladder cleaned out because I have Stage 4 Endo. I had surgery over the summer that made the doctor come up with this plan because he saw that my pelvis looked like an “Endometriosis Tornado went through my pelvis” (his words). I have been diagnosed with this disease for over 8 years and have had PCOS since I was 16. My specialist believes thats when my endometriosis journey started.
This surgery is very important to me because I live in constant pain, and I have had many doctors appointments over the years. I have wanted to have a hysterectomy since my 3rd surgery, but the state of Texas wouldn't allow it due to my age and me not being married. Now that I am 32 and the pain has gotten so severe I am allowed to get a radical Hysterectomy to take away 90% of the pain. The funds will be used to help pay for the surgery and the money I have spent on setting up the surgery so far, as well as my lost wages since I will be missing 4-6 weeks of work.  I have paid about $1500 so far between doctors visits, Pain medication, CT scans, and other testing. I will have to pay another $1500 to get the surgery and post op visits covered. Since I am a teacher this is a huge financial burden on me and I would appreciate any help I can get.
